If your product is an algorithm, where is the UI? And how do you design the user experience?
This is the context in which the infiniteness of User Experience becomes so important, as it enables you to assess the places where you want your algorithm to change someone’s experience and thus define a strategy for how that changed experience is designed. And, of course, you may have multiple different user types whose experience will change and it may be less obvious (than for a normal product) which one(s) you should focus on.
In many ways, the production of an algorithm and the design of its ‘user experiences’ is the easiest introduction to the UX way of thinking.
This kind of engagement is primarily about mentoring a team and providing talks and workshops to help explore exactly where your design investment should be.
